Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the BytePlus demo portal. The site is provided solely for demonstration purposes and is not affiliated with or endorsed as an official BytePlus product. By accessing it, you confirm that (a) your data will never be reused for model training and (b) any media assets you upload or generate may be stored only so you can revisit them later.

Service Overview & Scope

This demo portal showcases BytePlus AI capabilities and related media workflows. It is offered for evaluation and internal enablement purposes only and is not an official BytePlus product or service offering. We do not collect or reuse user prompts, outputs, or account data to train any model. Media assets you upload or generate are stored solely so you can revisit them in your history and related product experiences.

Eligibility & Acceptable Use

  • You must be legally able to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.
  • You agree to use the service only for lawful, non-production experimentation and to comply with all applicable regulations.
  • You may not interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or any connected systems.

Accounts & Access

Some areas may require authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security issue.

User Content & Media Assets

  • You retain ownership of the content and media assets you upload or generate.
  • You grant us a limited, revocable license to store, process, and display that content strictly to operate the portal, including powering history queries and quality assurance.
  • You represent that you have the rights needed to provide the content and that it does not violate the rights of others.

Data Practices

  • We do not harvest user prompts, files, or metadata for model training or improvement.
  • We store media assets only to surface them back to you (for example, in history panes or asset libraries) and delete them upon your request or when required by policy.
  • Operational logs and minimal analytics may be collected to monitor reliability, detect abuse, and improve the user experience.

Fees

The portal currently has no paid subscription tiers or fees. If pricing changes in the future, we will provide notice and updated terms before you incur charges.

Prohibited Conduct

  • Reverse engineering, automated scraping, performance testing outside documented limits, or attempting to bypass rate limits.
  • Uploading malicious code, infringing material, or content that violates laws or third-party rights.
  • Using outputs to build competing services, reselling access, or misrepresenting the origin of generated media.

Intellectual Property

All platform software, documentation, and branding remain the property of BytePlus and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary materials beyond what is necessary to use the service.

Service Changes & Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including for maintenance, security, or legal reasons. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, BytePlus is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be limited.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if required for legal, compliance, or security reasons. You may stop using the service at any time. Certain provisions (including ownership, disclaimers, and governing law) survive termination.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BytePlus is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiations, and if unresolved, through the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
